Fees and Rebates
The cost of seeing a psychologist varies depending on which rebates are applicable. Our standard session fee is $230, before rebates. This fee is below the Australian Psychological Society’s (APS) recommended fee of $267 per hour. Please see below for more details of costs:
Private Clients $230
The standard session fee is $230. No doctor’s referral or private health cover is required.
With Medicare Rebate $140.35
Clients pay the upfront fee of $230, and receive $89.65 back from Medicare (after the rebate, the cost is $140.35)
This is for clients referred by their GP or Psychiatrist with a Mental Health Treatment Plan. See your GP to find out if you are eligible.
With Private Health Insurance
Varies according to your level of cover. If the fund pays less than $230, clients pay a gap fee equal to the remainder.
No doctor's referral is required. Please see your insurance policy for cover details.
BUPA ADF
As per the current BUPA ADF fee schedule. There is no gap fee for BUPA ADF clients.
