Fees and Rebates

The cost of seeing a psychologist varies depending on which rebates you can claim. The upfront fee for a 55 minute session is $230, and you may be able to claim some back on Medicare or . This fee is below the Australian Psychological Society’s (APS) recommended fee of $318 per hour. Please see below for more details.

Private Clients $230

The standard session fee is $230. No doctor’s referral or private health cover is required.

With Medicare Rebate $131.05

Clients pay the upfront fee of $230, and receive $98.95 back from Medicare.

This is for clients referred by their GP or Psychiatrist with a Mental Health Treatment Plan. See your GP to find out if you are eligible.
